Co-fondatrice et associée principale de Outlierz Ventures
Kenza Lahlou is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Outlierz Ventures, an early-stage Africa-focused VC fund, based out of Morocco. The fund invests in Seed and Pre-Series A tech-enabled companies solving fundamental problems in key industries across 4 main markets: Morocco, Egypt, Nigeria and Kenya. Portfolio companies include Sokowtach (Kenya), MaxAB (Egypt), WaystoCap (Morocco), Bamboo (Nigeria) among others.
Kenza started Outlierz Ventures after spending four years on the ground working with entrepreneurs and building Morocco’s startup ecosystem via StartupYourLife (SYL), a pioneer ecosystem builder and entrepreneurs’ network she co-founded in 2014. Kenza came back to her home country after 8 years studying and working abroad in France, Singapore and the US – with the mission of catalyzing the tech ecosystem in Morocco and Africa, following life-changing work experience she got in San Francisco, working closely with startups from emerging markets scaling into the US, and large European companies sourcing innovation in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Kenza worked in private equity, management consulting and in the tech industry both in France and Morocco. She holds an MSc in Computer Science from INSA in France and a Master’s in Business from ESSEC in Singapore. She completed an Executive Program on Leadership at the Harvard Kennedy School as well as an Executive Program on Venture Capital at Stanford University in partnership with 500 Startups (VC Unlocked).
